Question:

I am using RL78 compiler CC-RL.
There are sections .text, .textf, .const, and .constf in the link map information. What are the differences among them?

Answer:

Sections .text and .textf are for code. The former is allocated to the near area and the latter to the far area.
Sections .const and .constf are for ROM data. The former is allocated to the near area and the latter to the far area.
