Latest Updated:09/18/2015

Question:

How can I divide up the output for a load module when building?

Answer:

You can divide up a load module per output range (address range or section) by using the –output linker option.
The output files are divided up when you build a project after making the following settings.

1. Select [Division output file] from the [Frequently Used Options (for Hex Output)] category on the [Common Options] tabbed page of the CS+ environment.

2.Designate the names of the files produced by division and the output range (address range or section).
Refer to the user’s manual for the compiler for details of this.

Multiple divided-up load modules (*mot/*.hex/*.bin) and one *.abs file will be generated, according to which of the following file types is specified for the –form option of CS+.
・Intel expanded hex file
・Motorola S-type file
・Binary file
