Why does the delay occur if the PS2561D elements rise in the waveform?

Question:

In the photocoupler PS2561D, the rise of the waveform of the output-side elements is delayed by 25 µs from the rise of the input waveform. The load resistance of the light-receiving side is 1 kΩ. The current flowing in the light-emitting side elements is 20 mA and is normal. Why does the delay occur?

Answer:

As described in the characteristics of the response time vs. load resistance, the delay is assumed to occur due to a large load resistance.
If you are looking for a high-speed-response product, consider an IC output type.
