Generating pseudo errors in a microcontroller (CS+)

Last Updated:05/17/2017

Question:

I am using the CS+ for CC Integrated Development Environment. To verify system operation, I want to forcibly generate errors in the microcontroller for debugging purposes. Is this possible?

Answer:

Use the pseudo-error debugging function for the CS+ for CC Integrated Development Environment.

The function is available only in an RH850 family microcontroller with an ECM.
It can generate ECC errors and lock step errors artificially and inject failures by generating multiple errors simultaneously in the microcontroller.
For how to start the function, open the Solution List panel in CS+ for CC and roll the mouse cursor over the error debugging icon. The details will be shown on the right.

This function is available in CS+ for CC V4.00.00 and later.
