Input complement function of editor(CS+)

Last Updated:06/21/2017

Question:

I am using the CS+ for CC integrated development environment. Is there a function to list candidates (when I enter a character string by the editor), and complement the character string (when I select a candidate)?

Answer:

CS+ for CC provides the smart edit function to do that.

When the function is enabled, candidates are listed by the following operation:

- When "." or "->" is entered, if the applicable member for the left side exists

- When "::" is entered, if the applicable member for the left side exists (only for C++ source files)

- When the [Ctrl] + [Space] keys are pressed from the keyboard

For details about the smart edit function, refer to this site.

The smart edit function lists candidates by using the cross reference information that is generated by the build tool. Therefore, specify [Yes] with the [Output cross reference information] property on the Property panel of the build tool to be used, and then run and complete a build.

If an error in building occurs, cross reference information before the error occurred is used (if it exists).
